Our Cosmetic Dentistry services include:

Teeth Whitening

Are you happy with the colour of your teeth? Do you drink a lot of caffeine or red wine or eat foods that stain. Teeth whitening is a non invasive form of treatment which can lift the stains from the pores in the tooth enamel to give teeth that lighter look.

We have 2 forms available:

a) Take home Professional Whitening.

Moulds of your teeth are taken so that a custom fabricated tray can be formed to be placed over your teeth like a mouthguard. You can then place the bleach inside the trays over your teeth at your leisure either overnight or during the day. The process usually takes 2 weeks.

b) In-Office whitening.

A professionally applied prescription bleach is placed on your teeth at the practice. The bleach is then activated by a special UV lamp for 8-10 minutes 3-4 times depending on initial results. The main advantage is that this is all done in a single appointment and the results are instant. We provide you with a complementary take home kit so you can maintain the results.

Veneers are excellent at correcting teeth that are:

  • Stained
  • Chipped
  • Narrow or too Short
  • Discoloured
  • Slightly misaligned
  • Gaps between teeth

Composite Veneers

These veneers are made of a filling material, the shade of which is closely matched to that of the adjacent teeth. These are the most affordable form of veneer and can usually be placed directly on the tooth surface instantly minimal tooth preparation (criteria apply).

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers provide the most natural appearance. They are hard wearing and less likely to pick up stains. Shade matching is improved due to the translucent nature of the porcelain. The procedure involves minimal tooth reshaping in order to accommodate the veneer. Two visits are usually required.

  1. The desired teeth need to be reshaped. An impression is taken and sent off to the ceramist who custom makes the veneer.
  2. The next appointment will be to bond the veneer to the tooth surface.

Dental Crowns

Crowns sit on top of teeth like a helmet on a head.  They help protect and strengthen them.

A crown may be necessary:

  • Following root canal therapy
  • To restore heavily broken down teeth
  • If the tooth is fractured
  • When replacing old large fillings which may also be cracking or decayed.

Crowns will also require two visits; one for preparation of the tooth with impressions which are then sent to the dental technician, and the next appointment to bond the crown the tooth.
