Dr David Vickers

P1200156B. Dentistry, Hons. (U. Syd).

David was born in Sydney and grew up in Lindfield and Gordon, attending East Lindfield Public School and then high school Barker College at Hornsby. Following this he studied Commerce at the University of Sydney where he attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree. However a strong desire to work in a field with more human interaction and an interest in helping people, led him back to study Dentistry. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 2011 with Honours, during which time he treated patients at Sydney Dental Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Ingleburn Public Health Clinic and Bathurst Base Hospital. After seven long years at university, he worked in Camden for over two years, before taking the plunge and getting married in March 2014. This brought him back to Sydney’s north and to Hornsby Dentist, co-incidentally just down the road from his former high school.

David has developed an interest in most areas of general dentistry, especially preventative and restorative dentistry. He also enjoys prosthodontics and some endodontics and recently has developed an interest in jaw pain and sleep dentistry for which he is undertaking further training.

Outside of the dental clinic he enjoys playing soccer and still plays on the weekend for a local team in Wahroonga. David enjoys spending time with his wife Jenny on the weekend, and (when he is not stuck doing chores around the house) he enjoys bushwalking and nature photography.

David actively undertakes regular continuing education to further his skills. He is also registered with AHPRA – the National Dental Board and is currently a member of the Australian Dental Association and the North Shore Study Group.
